There’s A Fee (by Adam)
From the Hall of the dark
To the History of Art
There’s a fee
Students in financial holes
All the lecturers are bores
There’s a fee
It’s the way the tests are passed
Look at papers from the past
There’s a fee
Oh my neighbour is a beast
Of them all I like her least
There’s a fee
From the month to the week
The kitchen roof has a leak
There’s a fee
From the left to the right
Woken up in the night
There’s a fee
From the wardens of the Hall
To the ones who make the call
There’s a fee
She’s sleep-wrecking with the damned
Mere weeks from the exams
There’s a fee
We’re all waking in the night
They don’t know wrong from right
It’s so unfair
The promise of a greater hate
Once again we’re kept up late
We just want some quiet peace
We are many millions more
We have all been here before
There’s a fee
We’ve come so far so fast
From first year it’s now our last
There’s a fee
From the three hour exams
To the essays of the bland
There’s a fee
Hopes are towers in the skies
Dreams are shattered in the night
There’s a fee
It started rising round the world
Like any other con
To start a day
The promise of value for cash
It’s all a load of trash
Value’s gone without a trace….
