Brian Hurren

History: Began playing with the keyboard at the age of 4 and progressed to pubs and clubs by the age of 13. Started work in Andy Simpsons Keyboard Centre demonstrating keyboards and eventually providing lessons. Left home age 16 to study for a degree in music in Perth

Previous occupations: There has been a vast range of jobs from church organist to an ccompanist for an established star of London west end musicals. We played until I left for Runrig with a Dundee based band called Mafia.

Hobbies: Music, Music, Music! All types and Gendres but mainly R&B

Ambitions: To play in the SECC

Calum McDonald

Birthdate/place: 12/11/53 Lochmaddy, North Uist

Hair/eyes: brown / blue

Musical influences: Beatles. Dylan. 60?s Pop, Springsteen, Van Morrison, Fairport Convention, Various Traditional, Gaelic Singers and Writers.

Previous occupations: P.E. Teacher, holiday jobs such as dustman, porter, road labourer, waiter, salmon fisherman. Drummer with up and coming Celtic Rock Band.

Hobbies: Most sport especially distance running. Fishing and peat cutting.

Ambitions: To write a classic and to catch a bigger fish than Iain Bayne.

Rory McDonald

Musical influences: Traditional, Gaelic and Scottish dance music, Gaelic Psalm Singing, Van Morrison, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Flora Macneill, Angus Macleod, Lennon and McCartney, Shadows, Sutherland Brothers, Byrds, Country Music,Scotland, my old accordion

Previous occupations: Student at Glasgow School of Art, Graphic Designer, Holiday jobs site labourer, van driver, butcher, shop worker and road worker.

Hobbies: Running, reading, hillwalking, family outings, and art

Ambitions: Professionally to keep improving and writing better songs, for the band to widen its appeal and promote good without having to compromise musically. Personally some breathing space is always welcome.

Hobbies: When at home most time spent with my family. Good game of billiards and most sports

Ambitions: To be always happy in my work and to realise all my musical aspirations.

Iain Bayne

Previous Occupations: Paper laddie, butcher, milk rounds, garbage collector, record shop, pipe, theatre, dance, cabaret bands, radio and TV sessions. Touring with Billy Anderson and Margaret Macleod, summer seasons with Robin Hall and Jimmy McGregor and Alistair Macdonald. Played on "St Clair" ferry and toured Europe with "New Celeste".

Hobbies: Sea trout and salmon fishing, cycling and sleeping

Ambitions: Not to sweat so much when drumming and to see daughter get married.
