Surprised no one has started a thread yet considering the importance so I may as well do so.

Massive game, we win and we're back level with St Mirren and Hamilton.

I would go 4-4-2. Drop O'Brien and bring in Moutinho.

Would be great to see the whole of the south stand up standing for this one.

Scotty A is suspended, so Pedro will come in for him.

The "must win" games for us are against St Mirren and Hamilton pre and post split but this is still hugely important.

Dont see us winning but a point would still be very welcome.

Have to say I have been impressed with St Johnstone this year, will be a very tough game.

I think we need to be looking to take at least a point from our home games, fingers crossed we can sneak a 1-0 win but its will not be easy.

it is an important game, hopefully we'll get a decent result and a good performance, i can see it being a good atmosphere too, it's ashame that scotty's suspened because that was probably his best game of the season and it probably would've been good for him to have another game straight away to try and keep that form

Be very interesting to see just how much, if at all, we miss Scotty on Saturday. With him recently upping his game I think we will, but 2 months ago I'd have thanked you for his suspension.

2-1 Bairns.

The time for excuses is over. This is a home win in the bank - and so it should be.

A defeat wouldn't be fatal, but I think failure to take anything from the game would heap a lot of unwelcome pressure onto the players going into the Hamilton game, which is the more important of the two in my opinion.

Fuxake. Its St Johnstone we are talking about. We certainly shouldn't be afraid of this dross. If we can't beat this lot and Hamilton then we're fcuked and deserve to be relegated.

Agreed, Alba.

We cant afford to just wait for the Hamilton and St mirren games in the hope we beat them and that they lose all of their other games, we'd become even more detached, we need to beat as many teams as possible and there is no reason why we cannot beat St Johnstone.

Agreed! Although Saints have pulled a few decent results out the bag over the season they shouldn't be too much of a problem... A point at least should be expected or else maybe we do deserve relegation like Albaman says!

I think we should go for it with an agressive attacking line up.

attack, attack, attack.

You guys saying it's as easy as dadada are kidding yourselves. BY NO MEANS should we be afraid of Saints or feel inferior; but doubt not that it will be a very hard game. They have not been cruising to safety for nothing, and the only game this season when anyone ran over the top of them was the Celtic one, and the reasons for that were clear.

Having said that, their defence is gash, and Albatronic is correct: attack is the best form of defence against these guys. Even in May's nadir at McDiarmid, Hot Shot Henry Finnbogasson and Finnigan caused several fankles in their back division. I am sure SJ will score, we just need to hammer in 3 or 4 to sicken their happiness.

We are not bottom of the league for nothing, and the Saints are not 8 or 10 points clear of us for nothing either.
This will be as hard a game as Dundee Utd, Motherwell, Hibs or Hearts. Anyone thinking otherwise are deluding themselves.
Play to our potential (which this season hasnt been too often or of a high standard), get a bit of luck and defend well, and we may win this game. Play as we have done in 95% of our games this year and it will be an easy 2:0 away win for St Johnstone.

Alba - St Johnstone of years previous we should be beating. However, this is a different St Johnstone team, and let's face it, they are better than us all over the park, and probably only just as equally bad at the back.

As others have posted, the time for excuses has past. Elvis needs to get the win, and we need to start picking up more points now than at any other time in the season.

This will be a tough game but hopefully quite entertaining too. Agreed that we need to be aggressive as their defence is the weakest part of their team.

But it won't be easy by any means, this is the same team that horsed Hibs 5-1 recently isn't it?

If you look at their team player by player they really are not great shakes - Deuchar & Milne up front? Dave MacKay, Graham Gartland, Kevin Moon? While I rate Morris, Davidson and think Duberry might still have enough in the tank to be a good purchase, theres not much to be afraid of. McInnes has done a good job so far and organises them well but they are beatable - and I need to get that 3-1 defeat in Perth out my head as that was possibly the worst performance under May.

I reckon a hard fought 2-1 win for us - Barr (GIRFUY Kiddy!!) and Big Show scoring.
