Scott
Arfield's goal was one of the few highlights
in a game where it seemed the defence leaked
more than the Titanic.
From
the word go it was clear which team wanted
the victory more and ICT came close with a
Cowie shot which probably killed some poor
punter in the stand behind the goal.
The
home side came close again a few minutes later
when Krul rushed out of his goal to clear
the ball from Niculae's feet. Barr did well
to head away a goal bound header from Tokley
at the expense of a corner and at this stage
of the game it was all one way traffic.
In
7 minutes ICT's pressure paid off when Ross
Tokley beat Moutinho and fired in a cross
which eventually ended up at the feet of Dennis
Wyness who made no mistake. The pressure was
still on the bairns defence as Duncan shimmied
through them and fired a shot at Krul who
did well to save.
In
18 minutes it looked to be all over for the
bairns as Duncan was given time on the ball
to line up his shot which he fired past Krul
from 25 yards, 2-0 Caley.
Against
the run of play Falkirk snatched a goal back
courtesy of Kenny Milne. Tam Scobbie fired
in a free kick which pin-balled in the box
before it struck Milne and trundled past Fraser.
Falkirk would have done well to hang on to
the 2-1 score line until half time but Ian
Black made it 3-1 five minutes after Falkirk
had pulled a goal back. Again Tokley beat
Moutinho down the right and fired in a cross
which Niculae headed back for Black who nipped
in front of Darren Barr to fire home.

Inverness CT 3 - 1 Falkirk
Falkirk
started the second half more brightly and
from Latapy's corner Scott Arfield picked
the ball up 25 yards out and blasted a volley
behind Fraser for Falkirk's second. It was
a fantastic goal and one of the few bright
spots on an otherwise dull performance.
However
once again the bairns surrendered their lead
cheaply when Dennis Wyness was once again
allowed the room to draw Krul and send a shot
under the keeper which went in off the post.
And that as they say was that.
We
did have a half hearted claim for hand ball
in the penalty area but hey, when do we ever
get decisions like that.
Falkirk
fans ended the game desperate for the ref
to blow his whistle and put us out of our
misery. Indeed it could have been as many
as 7-2 in the end though ICT were happy with
4.
